Bo Jackson loves Cam Newton, but he is not afraid to take off his belt

Bo knows trash talk, as the former Auburn star proved Monday night by interrupting Cam Newton's Heisman banquet speech to inform his newly crowned Heisman successor that he throws "like a girl." When Newton admits his childhood dream to be "better than Bo Jackson," though, the old man doesn't take it quite as graciously – unless you count removing your belt for a mock whipping as an act of grace:

But seriously, though, folks. Bo loves these crazy kids, to the extent that Newton thanked him for being "a father figure away from home." I guess that the NCAA should be launching its investigation any day now. (/rimshot.) Thank you, thank you.

In other news from his tour of the Big Apple, the younger Newton also donated his $200 fee for appearing on David Letterman's show Monday to Wrights Mill Road Elementary in Auburn, where he volunteers as a mentor. Not that Newton would have been allowed to keep the money under NCAA rules, anyway, but if it keeps a couple overworked, underpaid teachers from going into their own pockets to come up with enough scissors and pencils and construction paper – or underwrites a decent party in the teacher's lounge – it's a small feather in his cap.
