There's no doubt which basketball coach has the best hands in the Pac-12.
That honor belongs to Washington's Lorenzo Romar, who stopped by Seattle's famous Pike Place Market on Wednesday, stepped behind the counter and took his turn snagging a fish. Not only did Romar calmly snare a 16-pound salmon, he did it with one hand to the delight of a large crowd that had gathered to watch.
"Seeing it done on television before, I thought it might be fun if someone else was doing it, but I didn't think I'd ever do it," Romar told the Seattle Times. "There were some very good coaches. Those guys back there were good coaches. They explained (how to use) your fingertips. They said don't grab it this way. So I was coachable and I had a great passer. It was right there. I had to be able to catch it."
Romar showed up his football counterpart Steve Sarkisian, who lacked the basketball coach's flair or confidence but at least managed to keep his salmon from hitting the ground. It was Romar's first time behind the famous fish counter in nine years as Washington's basketball coach.
